PV Muse Art is a homebased, small group art class for children. Enjoy self-expression through our inspiring, relaxing, and entertaining art classes in Palos Verdes, California! Our art classes are conducted by Ms. Jeannie, an artist with more than 20 years of experience and allow us to nurture your creative spirit.
CLASSES
LITTLE ARTIST | Kinder - 2nd
Begin to recognize art elements, such as lines, shapes, color, and texture.
Develop visual literacy and fine motor skills by exploring the basics in art, such as cutting, pasting, drawing, painting, origami, and other mixed media.
This class will develop problem-solving skills along with improved focus and concentration.
YOUNG ARTIST l 1st - 4th
In this beginner course, students will develop their natural artistic talents as they learn basic color theory and techniques. This class covers color mixing, color application, visual thinking and problem solving, a bit of art history, fiber arts, painting, drawing, and composition through fun and exciting exercises.
Create finished canvas paintings and other projects to celebrate and display in your home. Create artwork you can be proud of while having LOTS of fun!
INTERMEDIATE ARTIST
I (3th-6th) & II (5th - 8th)
Students will be empowered through an experimental and immersive exploration of the realm of visual arts and the study of self-expression, observation, color theory, visual thinking and problem solving, art history, fiber arts, painting, and drawing.
This course will delve deeper into the concepts listed above and will teach the artists how to create more elaborate art projects.
ADVANCED ARTIST l 5th - 8th
Advanced art students incorporate their drawing and painting skills in creative art projects that are conceptualized and designed on their own.
Classes will explore light and shade, perspective, color theory, human figures, and masterpieces with charcoal, acrylic paint, and other media.
Out young artists are strongly encouraged to experiment and develop their own personal styles.
Prerequisites: Intermediate class
